Music

So my wife was working this morning and I was at home by myself and instead of doing something somewhat productive I recorded a bunch of songs. Let me start off by saying these are rough. Let me rephrase that: These are EXTREMELY rough. Rough like a gravel driveway with broken beer botels strewn across it and on those broken shards of glass you’ll find sandpaper superglued to them. It’s just electric guitar and vocals. You can hear my cats, the washer, dryer and cars going by all in the background. I think I even answer the phone at the end of one. I’ve never been picky when it comes to the sound of my music and I’ve always liked to work fast, but I’ve never done something like this. It seemed like the thing to do at the time though and I’m kinda proud of it for some reason. I tried to play a bunch of songs that most people probably haven’t heard or I haven’t released. A few of these I don’t think I have played in a couple years and one of them I wrote today (that would be “I Got a Tick”, listen to it and you won’t be so impressed with me writing and recording a song in one day). We had every intention of having a full proper album out by now but personal issues with the rest of the band have held us up. So until we get back into the “studio” here’s the new Modrats album “Sunday Morning”:
